After spending his childhood in Leakey, he lived in several Texas cities, including Dallas and Houston. Austin was his final home for almost twenty years.
Arlon was a true lover of animals with his beloved dogs always by his side. Being very creative, with a special talent for decorating homes as well as landscape design, his home was always welcoming.
Arlon was a wonderful person, always there when someone was in need. He was kind, caring, and loyal to his many friends and family and will be missed by all.
Arlon was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include brothers; Aubry David Preece, Johnny Dale Preece, and Joseph Riley Preece. along with the many friends so dear to him.
