Gianfranco Gasparri, simply known as Franco Gasparri, was an Italian actor. He was born in Senigallia, a small town near Ancona. Franco was well-known in Italy during the seventies for acting in several photostories produced by the Italian photostory producer named "Lancio". He started acting very young, almost 13, with small roles in "Goliath contro i giganti", "La furia di Ercole" and so on. He became particularly famous for his handsomeness and was a very active actor in "Lancio" photostories for almost a decade. During this period he also starred in several Italian movies: among them he had the first role as Mark, a policeman, in a series of three movies titled "Mark il poliziotto", "Mark il poliziotto spara per primo" and "Mark colpisce ancora". On June 4, 1980 he had an awful accident with his motorcycle and, with his cervical vertebrae broken, he unfortunately found himself on a wheelchair, paralyzed. This was the end of his career as an actor but after 5 years of rehabilitation he began working again for several photostory productions, this time as an editor. He died in 1999 of a respiratory attack, another sad consequnce of his accident. Almost five years before he had lost his wife because of a tumor. He has two daughters, Stellina and Luna.
