Mary Dufphey
COUNCIL--Mary Dufphey, 92, of Council, died Wednesday, Nov.4, 1992, in a Council hospital.
Funeral services were held at 2p.m. Monday, Nov.9, at the Rupert, Idaho,1st Ward LDS Church. Arrangements were under the direction of Hansen Funeral Home, Rupert.
Mary was born Oct.26, 1900, at Litchfield, Neb., a daughter of Cornelious and Agnes Wall. She married Guy Dufphey on Aug. 26, 1929, at Pocatello, then moved back to Hailey where she operated the Home Cafe. They moved to Rupert in the early 1940's, and she managed or worked in cafes in the Rupert-Burley area until her retirement. Mr. Dufphey died Dec.6, 1973. She then moved to Boise to live with her son, Richard. She entered Capital Care Center in Boise in September of 1989, and later moved to the Council Hospital in October of 1990.
Mary was a wonderful person and would do anything she could to help anyone, especially her family. Her kindness will always be remembered by family and people who knew her.
Survivors include a son, Richard of Boise; a daughter, Melba Williams of Escalon, Calif.; a brother, Chris Wall of Burley; a sister, Beth Laney of San Diego, Calif.; four grandchildren; and five great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her parents and four brothers.
