BENNINGTON -- Janice L. Bourn, 59, a resident of South Street, died on Friday evening, Oct. 3, 2003 at St. Peter's Hospital in Albany, N.Y. following a brief illness. She was born in Bennington on Jan. 14, 1944 and was the daughter of Elijah and Lillian (Harvey) Bump.
She received her education in local schools. Mrs. Bourn enjoyed crocheting and baking, but her family was her greatest interest. She attended the First Baptist Church in Bennington. She enjoyed Sunday car rides.
She is survived by two daughters and one son-in-law, Carol and Mark Lucier of North Bennington, and Meredith Bourn of Bennington. She has one sister, Joan Hoyt of North Bennington, and six grandchildren. She is also survived by her former husband, Carroll Bourn of White Creek, N.Y.; and nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Monday afternoon, at 2 p.m. at the Hanson-Walbridge Funeral Home, 213 W. Main St. in Bennington with the Rev. Norma Drosky, pastor of the First Baptist Church, officiating. Interment will follow in the White Chapel Cemetery in Bennington. There are no calling hours scheduled.
