Husband of Luda Hethcox. Amos Lemuel Hethcox is the son of Isaiah and Sarah Ann Walker Hithcox. He may have been born near Notasulga, Tallapoosa County, Alabama, as that is where his family lived in the 1860 census, when he was 2 years old. Amos married Sarah J. Davis in St. Clair county, Alabama on December 22, 1877. It is assumed that Sarah died between 1884 and 1889, though we have no death date nor location for her. Amos (Mr. A. L. Hethcox) next married Miss Luda McLean on August 25, 1889, in Hot Spring County, Arkansas. At the time of their marriage, Amos was living in Malvorn, Hot Spring, Arkansas, and Luda was living in Hickory Station, Montgomery County, Arkansas. In the 1900 census, Amos listed his occupation as farmer.
