Albert's son, Albert Ashley Carpenter, is the child of Albert and Amanda Dorrity. According to his daughter, Cora Maria Carpenter Wright, due to an illness of Amanda and her eventual death, Albert needed to find a wet nurse for their son, Albert. He found that in Elizabeth Sophia Gale Ellsworth and later they married and went on to have their own family. The other children are Albert and Elizabeth's.


MARYSVALE - Mrs. Forest King received word of the death of her father, A. V. Carpenter at Drys Creek, Oregon, June 30. Mr. Carpenter had been living in Oregon the past three years with his daughter, Mrs. W. T. Wright. He was born in New York January 5, 1846. For years he was a merchant in Kansas city. He came to Utah later and lived in Garfield county, where he served as county commissioner two terms. He was also active in mining both in Utah and Nevada. His wife died seven years ago at Antimony. He leaves the following children: Mrs. W. T. Wright of Oregon, Mrs. Forest King of Marysvale, Mrs. Charles Wiley and Loril D. Carpenter, both of Antimony.
