She was the daughter of Marshall Calvin Fox & Naomi Jo Talbot Fox. She married Marcus Vance Cockrell in December 1936 in Brownwood, Texas. Survivors include her daughter, Janice Shavor of Meridianville, Alabama, 4 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren & a number of nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband & one son, Robert Marshall Cockrell.
