Gerald A. Bellinger

Gerald Alfred, son of Harry and Lola Bellinger was born at Arcadia,
June 27, 1904, and passed away at Ogallala, early Wednesday morning.
Nov. 7, 1934 after an illness of ten days, at the age of 30 years, 4 months and 9 days. He grew to manhood in Arcadia and graduated from Broken Bow high school in 1923. He was united in marriage to Olive Woody on May 28th, 1928 at Glenwood, Ia. They left immediately for California where they resided for two years and where their little daughter, Barbara came to bless their home. In 1930, the returned to Arcadia where they lived for three years. In Oct. 1933 they moved to Ogallala, living until the time of his death.
When twelve years of age he united with the M.E. church of Arcadia. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife and little daughter, Barbara; his father, mother and one brother, Claris Bellinger, all of Arcadia besides many other relatives and a host of friends.
Gerald had an ever-widening circle of acquaintances as to know him was to love him and appreciate more fully the splendid qualities of his character. As husband, father, and friend, he was a man of highest ideals, always considerate of others and four-square in his dealings. Coming as it did his death was a severe shock to his many relatives and friends. Rev. Hendricksen of Berwyn delivered the message. Pallbearers were Dan Bartlett, Roy Anderson, Ora Russell, Alvin Lee, Joe Baird and Arnold Tuning. The male quartet rendered "Abide With Me", and "Peace, Wonderful Peace." They were Harold Weddel, Rev. Nye, Carl Easterbrook and Lowell Finecy. His niece Katherine sang,
"Beautiful Isle of Somewhere."
