Vera "Brownie" Virginia (Timmons) Amstutz, 84, formerly of rural Attica, died at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 12, 2011 at Bickford Cottage, Lafayette.

Vera was born on September, 10, 1927 in Moody. She was the daughter of the late Earl and Marie (Alberts) Timmons. She grew up in Moody and attended Wheatfield High School. She had lived in West Point and rural Attica for 50 years before moving to Lafayette in 1993.

Vera married Robert Eugene Amstutz on September 27, 1948 in Tyner. He preceded her in death on March 21, 1994.

Survivors include a son, Larry D. (Companion-Ealine) Amstutz of Rockville; a sister Verna Crawford of Attica; two brothers, Donald Timmons of Florida and Melvin Timmons of Michigan; two granddaughters, Robyn and Jennifer; and two great-grandchildren, Megan and Jared.

Visitation will be held at the Maus Funeral Home, Attica, on Thursday, Nov. 17, from 12:00 noon until the service time of 1:00 p.m. Burial will follow in the West Point Cemetery, West Point. Contributions may be made to the Lupus Foundation. Condolences may be sent online at
