Mrs. Eleanor "Nell" Mott-Lunsford, 93, died Oct. 10, 1997 in Starke, FL. Born in Fernandina Beach, she lived in Jacksonville most of her life and was a 60 year member of Southside Baptist Church. At the time of her death, She made her home in Keystone Heights.

She was a 7th generation Florida native and the Grand Daughter of a Confederate Soldier. Nell Mott-Lunsford was a Past President of the Martha Reid Chapter of United Daughters of the Confederacy #19 1968-1972, The Saber Club, Southern Dames of America, and the Social Order of the Beauceant #220. She was also a Charter member in both Riverside Chapter #232 and Temple North Chapter #304, Order of The Eastern Star, and a Life member of Khem Temple Daughters of the Nile #85.

She was preceded in death by her 2nd husband, Walter Preston Lunsford in 1975 with whom she Married Nov. 11, 1950., and 3rd Husband Wm. J. Simmons.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Mary Alice and George Bridges of Keystone Heights; two sons, Herman Edward Fugate of Welaka, and Jack Mott Fugate of Jacksonville; 9 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; 6 great-greatgrandchildren; sister, Dorothy Mott Smith and husband Joe Crestview; brother, Wilbur Mott and his wife Eunice of Callahan. Cryptside services will be held Monday at 2:00 pm at the Mausoleum in Evergreen Cemetery ''Gate 1'' with Rev. Mark Wilbanks officiating.

She wrote Books about Confederate History, while The President of The Jacksonville United Daughters of Confederacy #19, The First UDC Chapter in Florida. She was married to my Daughter's Great Grand Father. (Walter Lunsford).
