Mr. Brand was a director of the Mulberry Telephone Co. He had formerly been employed in the aluminum plant at Lafayette. He was born east of Dayton and married Elsie Katherine Widmer in 1934. He was a member of Dayton Presbyterian Church, Dayton Lodge 103, F. & A. M., and Sheffield Township Farm Bureau.
Surviving with the widow are two daughters, Mrs. James House of Rt. 6, Lafayette and Mrs. Gary McIntyre of Fort Wayne; a son, John of Rt. 5, and his father, Glen Brand, who lived in his son's home.
