Eleanor E. Dodge, 91, of Cave City, formerly of Woodland Hills, Calif., died Nov. 8, 2004, at White River Medical Center in Batesville, Independence County, Arkansas.

Born June 22, 1913, in Boston, she was the daughter of Emory P. and Lucy Watson Eldredge.

She was a homemaker and a member of DAR. She volunteered for many years at Veteran's Hospital in California. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Cave City and previously was a member of the United Methodist Church in California.

Survivors include two sons John E. Dodge of Salt Lake City, and Richard S. Dodge of Sarasota, Fla.; a daughter, Judith E. Breckenridge of Cave City; a brother, Emory P. Eldredge Jr. of Maryland; a sister, Priscilla Bradley of Maryland; 11 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; two nephews; and four nieces.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Emory P. Eldredge & Lucy W. Watson (per VR's in Boston, Suffolk County, Massachusetts); her husband, Sherwood Dodge; a sister, Harriet Fitzgerald; two grandsons; and a niece.

A memorial service was held Nov. 12 at Qualls Funeral Home Chapel in Cave City with the Rev. Wayne Johnson officiating. Interment followed at Oakwood Memorial Park in Chatsworth, Calif., with arrangements under the direction of Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City.
