Bertha Jane Elkins Harris Sullivan, 97, died Tuesday, Aug. 3, 2004, at Claiborne-Hughes Health Center in Franklin. A resident of the Bending Chestnut Community, Mrs. Sullivan was a homemaker and member of Bending Chestnut Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by husbands James M. Harris and L.P. Sullivan; brothers and sisters Esom Elkins, Boyd Elkins, Etta Mize, David Elkins, Henry Elkins and Lillie Melven; and children Zelma Gordon, Estelle Andrews, Maxie Anglin and Yance Harris. Survivors include children Lester Harris of Fairview, Freda Anglin of the Bending Chestnut Community, Kenneth Harris of Cody, Wyo., Everna Anglin of the Garrison Road Community and Mildred Mize of Indianapolis; 29 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Aug. 6, at Franklin Memorial Chapel with Bro. Ted Daugherty officiating. Burial will follow at Anglin Cemetery in Fairview.
