She was born March 9, 1950, in Mechanicsburg, the daughter of the late Harold and Betty (Hilgenkamp) Koser.
Kathy was a devoted wife, homemaker and member of Calvary Evangelical Lutheran Church, Mechanicsburg, where she served as a former member of the Alter Guild. She also served as a convener for the Clan Donald-U.S.A.
Kathy is survived by her loving husband of 42 years, John R. Getty; two sons, Jeffrey A. and his wife Kim of Dillsburg and Philip A. and his wife Emily of Kokomo, IN.; and one brother, Jeffrey Koser of Harrisburg. She also leaves behind four grandchildren, Brittany, Brandon, Noah, and Grace. Kathy was also preceded in death by a son, John H. Getty.
Services will be held Saturday, November 12, 2011, at 11:00 am in her church, 208 Woods Dr., Mechanicsburg, PA with her pastor the Rev. Luke Zimmerman officiating. Burial will follow in the Dillsburg Cemetery-Mountain Rd. Viewings will be held Friday from 6-8 pm in the Cocklin Funeral Home, Inc., 30 N. Chestnut St., Dillsburg, PA and again on Saturday from 10-11 am at the church.
