"Temperance, May 23 (1932) - Charles Nelson Butler, aged 68 years, died at 11:30 a.m. Sunday following a stroke of apoplexy. He had been in bad health for about six months. He had made his home in Temperancesince retiring as a farmer several years ago and had spent his entire life in the vicinity of Temperance.
"Mr. Butler was born in Bedford township on November 13, 1863, and he was married to Miss Lydia B. Wicks on September 9, 1883. Two sons were born of this marriage, Clayton and Clifford, both of Temperance. Mrs. Butler died on July 4, 1903..."
