LOUISE ALBERTINA MANNING of Magrath, Alberta passed away Wednesday June 30, 2010 at the Chinook Regional Hospital after a long battle with cancer.

Louise was born June 15, 1940 in Brooks, Alberta. Louise was a beloved daughter, mother, sister, friend, and a "kick-ass" grandmother and great-grandmother. She loved life and was always found busy gardening, crafting, and serving others. Louise was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Magrath 6th Ward.

Louise is survived by her husband Don Manning of Magrath, AB; mother Gladys Smith of Langley, BC; six siblings: Alden Smith of Langley, BC; Lenora Siggard of Orem, Utah; Frank Smith of Devon, Alberta; Burdick Smith of 100 Milehouse, BC; Laura Paulson of Guatemala; and Raymond Smith of White Rock, BC; seven children: Donnetta Ewing of Red Deer, AB; Trina Colpitts of Calgary, AB; Melody Cook of Stanfield, Oregon; Annabelle Adams of Syracuse, Utah; Don Manning Jr. of Sundre, AB; Jessica Garrett of Stirling, AB, and Cena Olsen of Logan, Utah. Louise had 33 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren.

The Funeral Service will be held on Monday, July 5, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at THE CHURCH OF JESUS CHRIST OF LATTER-DAY SAINTS, Magrath Garden Chapel, Magrath, AB, with Bishop Arlen Bennett officiating.

Friends may meet the family prior to the service at the church on Monday from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m.

The interment will follow at the Lomond Cemetery at 3:00 p.m.
