Bud, 82, Burkettsville, died at St. Rita's Medical Center.
He was a son to Edward and Elizabeth (Uppenkamp) Ahlers. On Dec 27, 1952, he married Catherine "Katy" P. Creekmur, who preceded him in death.
Surviving are a son, James (Brenda), Tipton; a daughter, Kimberly (Michael) Tracey, Celina; a brother, David (Judy), St. Henry; three sisters, Betty Jane Buening, Coldwater, Betty Lou Buening, St. Henry, and Armella (Gerald) Yaklin, Riviera, TX; and eight grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
Deceased are a son, Phillip; a grandson; and an infant brother, Joseph.
He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and retired from J&M Manufacturing, Fort Recovery. He was a member of Fort Recovery American Legion Post 345, in which he served in the honor guard and color guard. He also was a member and past commander of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 6515, Fort Recovery, and member of the Progressive Sportsman Club, Fort Recovery. He was a member of St. Bernard Catholic Church, Burkettsville.
A funeral Mass will be at the church. Military graveside honors will be conducted by the Fort Recovery American Legion
