Willie Belle Dudley Walters was born on Auguat 30, 1922 in Benton, Alabama to the late Annie Belle Phillips Dudley and Willie Dudley. The family moved to Port Arthur, Texas in 1941. Within one year of arriving in Port Arthur, she joined New Hope Missionary Baptist Church. She loved Port Arthur and especially "New Hope." She was a faithful and very active member.

Willie Belle met and married her lifelong partner, William E. Walters in 1949. The union lasted until his death in 1988. Although no children were born to this union, she touched the lives of many children, especially Teen and Bub... the niece and nephew she loved unconditionally.

The funeral service for Ms. Willie Belle Dudley Walters is schedulewd for Tuesday, May 17, 2011 at 11 a.m. The funeral service will follow immediately. Entombment will follow services at Live Oak Memorial Park Cemetery, under the direction of Hannah Funeral Home, Inc.

She departed this life on Sunday, May 8, 2011 at 8:45 p.m. She was preceded in death by a brother, James Phillips. She is gone but never forgotten. She leaves to cherish her memories: her best friend, constant companion and older sister, Mary Etta Trash, Greensboro, North Carolina; her "baby" brother Eddie Phillips and sister-in-law, Ruth, Greenville, South Carolina; sister Lillie Mae Murry, Birmingham, Alabama; devoted caretaker and nephew Mack Trash, Jr., and wife Minh, Houston, Texas; loving niece Ernestine Trash Taylor and husband Stuart, Greensboro, North Carolina; niece Dorothy Estes, nephews, Willie Murry, James Phillips , Jr. of Alabama; and a host of other relatives and friends.

In lieu of flowers, the familly is requesting that donations be sent to the Alzheimer Association, in memory of Willie Belle Walters.
