---Frederick W. Altman, eighty, of Elmer, died Sunday afternoon as he was on a visit to Evergreen Park, Illinois.
---Born September 14, 1879 near Callao, he was the son of Julias and Frederica Altman.
---On October 23, 1904 at Ethel, he married Ava Gilbert.
---Surviving are his wife; five daughters, Freda Allen of Brashear, Daisy Powell of Excello, Gern Bundy and Helena Altman of Evergreen Park, Illinois and Imogene Schuck of Oak Lawn, Illinois; two sons, Henry and Glen Altman of Elmer and five grandchildren.
---Mr. Altman, a farmer, was a member of the Elmer Baptist Church.
---Funeral services were held on Wednesday afternoon in the Elmer Baptist Church. Rev. Eldon Johnson officiated. Burial was in the Elmer Cemetery.
