Vivian Iris Garrett Baker, 79, of Sparta, passed away Nov. 3, 2011 at her residence.
Mrs. Baker was born Jan. 8, 1932, in Woodbury, Ga., to Clifton Bridges Garrett and Mary Mildred Knight Garrett.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Frank Baker; a daughter, Brenda Dale Baker Phillips; grandson, John Timothy Toney Jr.; and several brothers and sisters.
Survivors include her two daughters, Starr Toney and husband John of Sparta, Susan Barlow and husband Marty, of Sparta; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and sister, Martha Jean Jones, of Georgia.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m., Nov. 6, 2011, at Hunter Funeral Home, with burial in Old Zion Cemetery. Bro. James McGill will officiate. The family will receive friends 6-9 p.m., Nov. 5, at the funeral home.
Hunter Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
