Funeral services for Charles Hugh Bishop, 84, of Killeen, will be at noon Friday at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home in Killeen with interment at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery.

Mr. Bishop died Oct. 29, 2011, at his home.

He enjoyed dominoes, playing his guitar, country dancing, fishing, whittling, traveling and visiting with family and friends. He was associated in Killeen with the Bob Gilmore Senior Center, VFW, American Legion Post 225 and played music with friends in Killeen, Pearl, Adamsville and Lampasas.

He served in the Army Air Corps and worked as a farmer and carpenter.

Mr. Bishop was preceded in death by his sons, Jimmy Hugh Bishop and Charles Wayne Bishop; grandson, Joel Thomas Shirey; parents, Charlie Jefferson and Eunice Earls Bishop; brothers, Howard, Harlan and Tommy Bishop; sisters, Verna Brock, Florence Bishop, Gwendola Shapland and Ethel Bishop.

Survivors include two daughters, Ronda Sue and her husband, Philip Jones, of Plano and Sally Charlene and her husband, David Wolgast, of Round Rock; a sister, Sarah Exa Davis of Killeen; and his life partner, Cecilia Stiens of Killeen.

Visitation is from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home in Killeen, which is in charge of arrangements.
