HARRISBURG, ILL. —
Louise Cavender, 92, Harrisburg, passed away on Thursday, Nov. 3, 2011.
She was born on Oct. 9, 1919, to the late Art and Mable (Gullett) Douglas.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse Cavender, in 2008; and her sister, Eva Dean Gibbs.
Louise is survived by two sons, Charles Cavender and wife Carol and Darrell Cavender and wife Shirley; four grandchildren, Jeff Cavender and wife Tara, Todd Cavender and wife Michelle, Tonya Reed and husband David and Amy Buchanan and husband Chris; six great-grandchildren, Tyler Cavender, Jenny and Jesse Buchanan, Kody and Kyle Cavender and Blake Reed. She is also survived by two sisters, Donna Day and husband Ernie and Helen Lawrence.
Louise was a member of New Castle Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 5, 2011, at Reed Funeral Chapel in Harrisburg. The Rev. Jim Williams will officiate. Burial will follow in Lindale Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 4, 2011, at Reed Funeral Chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to New Castle Baptist Church.
