Mary was the daughter of Charles Wyatt Tyree and Annie Belle Hastings, and the wife of Lawrence Carl "Lon" Tucker. She was born and raised in Alleghany County, VA, and also raised two sons there (Carl and Elmer).
She was a great cook, a very loving mother and grandmother, and many friends and kinfolk mourned her passing. She was preceded in death by her husband (in 1981) and her son Carl (in 1991).
