A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Regan Beach, Lakeview and Fresno avenues, in South Lake Tahoe. A memorial service will also be held at 10 a.m. Monday at Reis Chapel of San Luis Obispo, with a reception to follow at the San Luis Obispo Moose Lodge. Inurnment will be private.
He was born Aug. 7, 1972, in San Francisco, and moved to Atascadero in April of 1975, and lived there until moving to Lake Tahoe in 1991. He was a member of the Lutheran Church of the Redeemer. He graduated from Oak Hills in June 1990, and attended classes at Cuesta College.
He played Little League and Babe Ruth Baseball, soccer, junior high and freshman football, was in the band, GATE program and Boy Scouts.
He was a member of IBEW Union No.401 of Reno as an electrician's apprentice.
He loved life, was sensitive to helping others, and was very patriotic. He wanted to go to New York with other union members to help rebuild the Twin Towers. He had a profound positive impact on anyone that met him.
He is survived by his mother and stepfather Vicky and Deon Morse of Atascadero; father Richard Lowder of San Antonio, Texas; stepsisters, Martine Knause and husband Scott, Kati Morse, and Susan Canchola and husband Joe; half sister Tamara Lowder ; half brother Kurt Lowder ; grandparents, Dr. and Mrs E.S. Boden; uncle Steve and aunt Linn Boden; cousins, Chris and Travis Boden; great-aunt Helen Peterson and husband Jim; uncles, Ernie and Don Lowder ; niece and several cousins and second cousins; and long-time partner Karen Kotz of South Lake Tahoe.
Arrangements are under the direction of Mc Farland's Funeral Home of Lake Tahoe and Reis Chapel of San Luis Obispo.
