Actor, Model. He grew up in Tenafly, New Jersey and developed a love for the theater at a young age. In high school, he appeared in productions of Carousel and The Pajama Game. During his time at Michigan State University, he continued to act in student theater productions. He worked at various commercial AM station under the name "Yukon Jack" while trying to get ahead and be noticed. He was fired from at least one station for not reducing power in at least one station, in violation of FCC licensing. He stated he did this so that his friends could hear his show in distant cities. He graduated from college in May 1980. His degree, a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in social sciences, was actually from James Madison College. James Madison College was a semiautonomous school within Michigan State University with very high admissions standards. Just days after college graduation he went to New York City. He took part time jobs as a bartender, housecleaner, and model. He took acting classes and went on auditions when he wasn't working. If there was any spare time he would work out at the gym. He was always working to improve and better himself. He was also an accomplished diver and musician. He read music and played the piano. His big break came when a housecleaning job led to an introduction to agent Bob Lemond. His career took off quickly and he chose his roles carefully. His first big acting role was in "Voyagers". He played time traveler, Phineas Bogg. He next appeared as a guest star on "Hotel" in the role of Prince Charming. "The Making of a Male Model" was a television movie in which he played cowboy turned model, Tyler Burnett. This role launched him as a sex symbol. "The Bear" was his first feature role. He played terminally ill football player Pat Trammell. "Cover Up" was his second and what was to be last television series. He played Mac Harper, an ex-green beret turned model/undercover agent. It was during filming of one of the episodes that he had his fatal accident. It had been a long day of filming with one delay after another. The gun to be used in the next scene was left out loaded with blanks. Apparently believing the gun to be unloaded, he discharged it against his right temple. The force drove a piece of his skull into his brain. Doctors spent hours in surgery trying to save him to no avail. He was removed from life support and days later his organs were donated by his family. Later, his mother was awarded an undisclosed wrongful death settlement from 20th Century-Fox Television (20th Television) and Glen A. Larson Productions. His ashes were scattered over Malibu along the shore he loved.
