Anthony Corrigan 82 of 915 East Fourth Street died Sunday at 5:45 a.m. at St. Joseph's Hospital.
Mr Corrigan who lived for the last 52 years was born in County Mayo Ireland. He came to the United States in 1886 living for a brief period in Virginia.
Surviving are two daughters; Miss Mary Corrigan and Mrs. Mier of Ottumwa; son Thomas Corrigan of Ottumwa; sister Bridget Corrigan of Ireland; brother Thomas Corrigan of Yorkshire, England, and 11 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, a daughter, and 2 sons.
Since the death of his wife, Mr. Corrigan had been living with his daughter, Mrs. Mier, and a son Tom.
Services will be Tuesday at the home of his daughter Mrs. Mier, 915 East Fourth Street, at 8:30 a.m. at 9:00 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church. Requiem High Mass will be celebrated by the Rt. Rev. Magr. J.M. Walsh, V.F.; burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. The body is at the Mier home.
Members of the General Shields council No. 888, Knights of Columbus, and of St. Mary's parrish will attend services.
