Mr. Ronnie Bennett, age 58, of Calhoun, formerly of Dalton, passed away Sunday, September 30, 2007 at Gordon Hospital. He was born in Whitfield County on May 2, 1949, son of the late Cecil and Hattie Phillips Bennett. He was employed with Beaulieu Industries, and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and riding his motorcycle.

Survivors include his wife, Linda Faye Smith Bennett; a son, ... and his wife, ...; a daughter, ... and her husband, ...; three sisters, ... Katie Bramblett of Dalton, and Barbara Greeson of Resaca; and seven grandchildren, ... Several special nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services for Mr. Ronnie Bennett will be conducted Wednesday, October 3, at 11:00am from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home, with Rev. William Roberts and Rev. George Nicholson officiating. Music will be arranged by Rev. William and Jane Roberts. Interment will follow in the Sugar Valley Baptist Church Cemetery. Active pallbearers will include Charles Nicholson, Clay Holsomback, Ronnie Roberts, Billy Smith, Jamie Hayes, and Scott Silvers. These gentlemen are asked to meet at the funeral home Wednesday at 10:15am. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday from 5:00pm until 9:00pm.
