After their marriage they moved to a farm near Perley, MN. Adam and Marie were the parents of two sons and one foster daughter: Fredrick "William" 14 Jul 1884-29 Oct 1968 (Nellie "Nell" Harrington 10 Mar 1880-20 Feb 1945) and Henry Bernard 19 Sep 1891-30 Oct 1968.
Their foster daughter was Helen Johnson, daughter of Hans & Gertrude (Winters) Johnson. Her mother Gertrude passed away when Helen was very young. Her father, Hans, could not keep the children so he "farmed" them out to friends and neighbors. Helen was born 29 Oct 1898 and passed away 10 Aug 1989. She married Ordin Mjolsness who was born 2 Oct 1891 and passed away 4 Sep 1943. They are buried at the nearby Landstad Lutheran Cemetery.
Adam and Marie Fredrickson first farmed the land in Section 35 of Lee Township. After Adam's passing, their two sons, William and Henry, farmed it together until 1968. Adam passed away 22 Jun 1901.
Marie lived in Perley for many years after Adam's death. She was well known and respected in the Perley community. She made her home with her daughter in Perley, Mrs. Ordin (Helen) Mjolsness the last years of her life. Marie passed away 23 Mar 1939 at St. Luke's Hospital in Fargo, ND.
