Alice Elizabeth (Betty) Shatzer McClure was the daughter of the late Jacob F. and Mary T. Kerr Shatzer.
Betty was raised and educated in Pennsylvania and Maryland. She lived in Chambersburg from birth until 1924 when she moved to Sykesville, Maryland. She lived in Sykesville until returning to Chambersburg in 1932.
In the late 1930's Betty married Joseph M. Zelnick. They had one daughter Rose Marie. The marriage ended in divorce.
In 1943 she married Oliver A. McClure. They had one son Terry Lee.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Chambersburg. Betty was a homemaker who enjoyed visiting with family and friends.

She is survived by her husband Oliver McClure of Chambersburg, Pennsylvania; daughter Rose Marie Zelnick Baer (Smokey) of Chambersburg, Pennsylvania; son Terry Lee McClure (Susan) of Glen Burnie, Maryland; four sisters: Mary E. Greer of Baltimore, Maryland, Isbella J. Harding of Sykesville, Maryland, Helen I. Brake of Chambersburg, Pennsylvania, and Virginia Martin of Chambersburg, Pennsylvania. Betty is loved and missed by her family and friends. She died in Chambersburg Hospital.
