and the daughter of Rev. Ozias Denton, a descendent of Richard Denton, a Presbyterian minister who came to America from Yorkshire,England, between 1630 and 1635. He settled in Wethersfield, Conn., and later to Hemstead Long Island, N. Y. Richard Denton was born about 1586 in Yorkshire, England and graduated from Cambridge University in 1623. He returned to Essex, England and died there in 1662.
