Services Held Here For Mrs. Gescheidle

The funeral of Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Gescheidle, widow of George Gescheidle, who died at her home, Wednesday night, took place at 4 p.m., Thursday from the Seydler Chapel.
Burial was at the City cemetery with the Rev. Frank D. Charlton pastor of the Methodist church, officiating. Mrs. Gescheidle had been an active member of the Methodist church since before her marriage.
She was born in Kentucky on September 23, 1873, a daughter of J. B. and Rena Lightfoot Marcum. While she was still a child, her parents moved to Texas where, in 1898, she was married to Gescheidle. His death occurred on Christmas Eve in 1930.
Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. J. D. Mitchell, Mrs. Clarence Barnett, Mrs. Roy Barnett and Mrs. Thomas Plowman, all of Gonzales; two sons, Henry and Willie Gescheidle, both of Denton Creek; and two stepsons, Joe Gescheidle of West Columbia and George Gescheidle of Westhoff.
Twenty-one grandchildren and three great grandchildren also survive.
