Rose Marie Alcala, 51, Topeka, died Mon., Oct. 31, 2011, at her home. She was born Sept. 5, 1960, in Topeka, the daughter of John and Luella (McMahon) Degan. Rose worked as a CNA at the United Methodist Home. She was married to Juan C. Alcala on March 17, 1984, in Topeka. Surviving are her husband: Juan C. Alcala; daughters: Melissa Ann Alcala and Laura Marie Alcala; grandchildren: Kaden Alcala and Annabel Stadley; sisters: Pearl Hinton, Carol Dodds, Ann Lake, and Lillian Degan; and brothers: Frankie Degan and Walter Degan.
