Leta Geneva Hensley Bell, age 93, died October 30, 2011 at Circle of Life Hospice in Springdale, Arkansas. She was born October 6, 1918 near Highfill, AR to James Baxter and Amanda Jane Chastain Hensley. She graduated from Vaughn High School in 1937 and traveled to California to work at Knott's Berry Farm in Buena Park. She married Paul Gerald Bell in 1939 in Sacramento. Their honeymoon was spent at the 1939 World's Fair in San Francisco.

They returned to Arkansas in 1940 and operated Bell Grocery near the family farm in the Robinson Community in Benton County. Leta was also a real estate broker for several years in Springdale. She began her career at Tyson Foods in 1959 in the accounting department. She retired in 1994 at age 75 after 34 ½ years.

Her hobbies included cooking, traveling, and enjoying her grandsons and great-grandchildren. Leta was a 50+ year member of the Order of Eastern Star Chapter 221. She was a member of Springdale Business and Professional Women's Club and the Springdale Hospital Auxiliary. She was a member of the Cave Springs Church of Christ for 79 years.

She is survived by her son, Monty and his wife Barbara of Springdale, grandsons; Chris and his wife Missie of Springdale, James and his wife Shelli of Fayetteville, and Jesse and his wife Sonja of Denver, Colorado and six great-grandchildren. In addition, she is survived by her nieces Jolynda Webster of Milton, FL and Virginia Story of Springdale, and nephews James Shook of Redwood City, CA, Harold Shook of Prairie Grove, and Jim Hensley of Yukon, OK.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Thursday, November 3, 2011, at Cave Springs Church of Christ, Cave Springs, Arkansas. Burial will follow Benton County Memorial Park, Rogers, Arkansas. Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 2, 2011, at Wasson Funeral Home, Siloam Springs, Arkansas.
