Edmund Riley Brantley (CSA) , born ca 1822 in Georgia. He married there, Sarah A. Lingo, daughter of Richard Taliaferro Lingo and Lucinda Humphries. The family was in Panola County, Mississippi in 1850, but had move back east to Henry County, Alabama by 1856. Edmund served in the Confederacy and died toward the end of the war on February 9, 1865 at Camp Morton, IL.

(2) Eugenia E. Brantley, born Mar 22, 1848 in GA. She married Wm J. Blackwell on Aug 29, 1867 in Henry Co, AL. They seem to be the same family in Dale Co, AL in 1880. Children then:

(4) Frances Elizabeth Brantley, born Jul 14, 1856 in Henry Co, AL. She married Spencer W. Wright Jr. on Sep 6, 1874 in Alabama. He was reportedly the son of Spencer Wright Sr. and Nancy Harrell. They were in Henry Co, Alabama in 1880 and Dale Co, Alabama in 1900. Frances was still living there in 1930 with dtr Tommie Curry. Spencer died there Oct 2, 1903. They issued the following children.

(6) James Elijah Brantley, born ca 1861 in Henry Co, AL;. He married Tallie Palmer. They were in Dale Co, AL from 1900 on. James died there in Sep 1938. Tallie died there Nov 25, 1951. Their children were:
