Ross Gunn Argyle passed away at his home in Randolph, Utah, on Oct. 24, 2011.

Ross was born in Randolph May 30, 1936, to Von Mitchell Argyle and Lois Gunn Argyle. He was the oldest of nine children. He married Lou Anna Huffaker Sept. 20, 1954. They happily adopted two children, Lynae and Neil.

Ross served in the U.S. Coast Guard from 1957 to 1962, during the Viet Nam War.

He spent most of his time on the ranch that he loved in Randolph.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Lou Anna, in 1988, and by his parents.

Ross is survived by his daughter, Lynae Argyle (David) Minton; son Neil Lyvon (Andrea) Argyle; grandchildren Ross Allen Morris, Sandon William Morris, Kashe Colten Argyle and Austin Trey Argyle; and one great-grandchild, Bryton Allen Morris.

He is also survived by his siblings, Vauna Argyle Randall, Blaine (Ellen) Argyle, Dorothy (Wes) Tingey, Ben (Vicky) Argyle, Kathaleen (Mike) Ellis, Fae (Don) Dalke, Anita (Mark) Rogers and Von G. (Kim) Argyle.

Friends may call at the Crandall Funeral Home in Evanston on Friday, Oct. 28, 2011, from 6 to 8 pm.

Funeral will be held Saturday, Oct. 29, at noon in the Randolph LDS Ward Chapel, where friends may call from 10:30 to 11:45 a.m. Interment will follow in the Randolph Cemetery under the direction of Crandall Funeral Home.
