Funeral services will be held Thurs. at 10 AM in the Knox-Larson Funeral Home for Mrs Clara B. Brien, 81, formerly of 2728 13th Ave. Rock Island.
Mrs. Brien died recently in Santa Monica, Ca.
The Rev Bruce M. Allison, of South Park Presbyterian Church, Rock Island, will officiate, and burial will be in Chippiannock Cemetery, Rock Island.
The former Clara Magerkurth was born Sept. 19 , 1891, in Edford township, Ill, the daughter of August and Marie Gernant Magerkurth. She received her education in Concordia Lutheran Church school.
She was married to Owen J. Brien Jr. May 19, 1920 in Rock Island. He died June 22, 1968. She then moved to California.
She was a former member of South Park Presbyterian Church, Rock Island.
Surviving are a son, Ralph, Los Angeles, Calif.: a sister, Mrs Anna Beck, Rock Island, and two brothers, Louis Magerkurth, Geneseo, and George Magerkurth, Osco.
