MASSENA, IA. - A memorial service will be at 10:30 a.m. today at the Massena Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) for Howard J. Arp of Massena. Private burial in Atlantic Cemetery will precede the funeral. Mr. Arp, 68, died of a heart attack Tuesday at Cass County Memorial Hospital.
Born in Cass County, he lived in the Massena area most of his life and was a farmer and member of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) and Cumberland Lions Club. He had been secretary of the Masonic Lodge.
Surviving are his wife, Louise; three sons, Edward of West Des Moines and John and Alan, both of Massena; and three grandchildren.
