SERVICES HELD MONDAY FOR MRS. ADA ROGERS
Funeral services were held at the Holt Chapel Monday afternoon at two o'clock for Mrs. Ada Roseanna Rogers, 66, Florence resident for 44 years, who died at her home Thursday evening at 7:50 p. m., following a long illness.
Mrs. Rogers was born in Chicago on May 11, 1878, and moved to Denver with her parents when but two years of age. She came to Florence 44 years ago and continued to make her home here ever since, and had a wide circle of friends in this part of the county.
On September 14, 1907 she was married to Lynn Rogers, a coal miner, by whom she is survived. Other survivors are a son, Billy of Minturn, Colorado., and a brother, A. A. Justin of Bremerton, Washington. Another son died in 1923.
Mrs. Rogers had been in failing health for four hears, and had been bedfast the past month.
The Rev. Tom Franks presided at the services. Miss Amy Deibert and Mrs. Jessie Williams, sang "In the Garden" and "The Old Rugged Cross", with Mrs. Williams also playing the accompaniment.
Pall bearers were Sam Petry, Thomas Winans, B. C. Bledsoe, Roy Bledsoe, Charles Tatman and Joe Berta. Interment was in Union Highland Cemetery.
