Civil War Medal of Honor Recipient. He served as a Private in Company M, 6th Michigan Cavalry, Union Army. On October 19, 1864, during actions against Confederate forces at the Battle of Cedar Creek, Virginia, when Private Crocker's company overrun an enemy position he captured the flag of 18th Georgia Infantry. For gallantry in the face of the enemy, he was awarded the Medal of Honor on October 26, 1864. He died at age 69 in Medora, Illinois.
