She was born April 18, 1927 in Glen Cove, Long Island, NY the daughter of Harold and Gilda Wilson. Elaine attended Sterling Central School and was a lifetime member of the Line Baptist Church in Foster, RI where she was the pianist.
She was a loving mother and grandmother who was devoted to her family. She was an avid reader and enjoyed spending time with family and friends and was a fan of baseball and bird watching. She was predeceased by a daughter Linda LaRochelle of Brooklyn.
She is survived by her son, Jonathan Tyler and his wife Jean of Norwich and granddaughters Kimberly Tyler, Wendy Maynard and Tammy LaRochelle and son-in-law Robert LaRochelle. Elaine will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 A.M. in Tillinghast Funeral Home, 433 Main Street, Danielson. Burial will be in Westfield Cemetery, Danielson at the convenience of the family.
