Alfred Jackson Bowen, I, is the son of John Hunter Bowen & Susannah Elizabeth Strickland. He married Ann Elizabeth "Annie Eliza" Williams on 04 JAN 1883 in Bulloch County, Georgia. Prior to his death, he sold one of the farms, the one he did not live on, which today lies in the County of Evans (created by the Georgia Legislature in the year 1914). Both he and his wife are interred in the Ephesus Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery, Bulloch County, Georgia.

The search is still on for his burial site).
