Carlota S. Chávez, age 98, beloved mother and grandmother was called home by our Heavenly Father, on Thursday, December 18, 2003.
Carlota was preceded in death by a daughter, Bessie Naranjo and her husband, Adam.
Carlota is survived by her loving children, Willie Lucero and his wife, Ervinia of Albuquerque, Ernestina Santiago of Denver, CO, Margaret Trujillo and her husband, Aaron of Bloomfield, NM, Bertha Henderson and her husband, Walter of Tucumcari, NM, Arthur Lucero, Felipita Hernández of Albuquerque, Charlie Lucero and his wife, Bonnie of La Junta, CO, Gabby Lucero of Albuquerque, Sylvia Lobato and her husband, Toby of Denver, CO and Jenny Martínez and her husband, Joe of Albuquerque, 41 grandchildren, 81 great-grandchildren, 24 great-great-grandchildren and other relatives and friends.
Carlota will be greatly missed by her loving family and by those who knew and loved her.
Visitations will be on Sunday from 5:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Alameda Mortuary. where Evening services will be conducted at 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, with Pastor David Romero, officating. Final viewing will be on Monday from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Assembly of God Church in Cuba, NM. followed by Funeral services at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Antonio Soto, officiating. Interment will follow at Assembly of God Cemetery. Casket bearers will be Bill Santigo, Ben Lucero, Freddy Trujillo, Walter Henderson Jr., Jerry Hernández and Bobby Lucero. Honorary bearer will be Adam Naranjo.
