BELVIDERE -- Betty A. Barnes, 71, of Belvidere passed away Sunday, July 11, 2004, in her daughter's home in Belvidere. She was born April 23, 1933, in Franklin, the daughter of Ernest K. and Elizabeth Bunch Bertram.

Betty was a New Palestine (Ind.) High School graduate. She married Cleamon Barnes Jan. 25, 1964, in Indianapolis, Ind. Betty had been a Belvidere resident since 1971, and owned and operated Mid-West Feeder Inc.

She was a member of Belvidere Moose Lodge 295, and spent most of her free time with her grandchildren and family.

She is survived by her daughters, Cynthia (Scott) Gustafson, Becky Boers and Rita Westlake, all of Belvidere; son, Richard Westlake of Freeport; grandchildren, Christopher, Melanie, Sarah, Stefanie and Emily Westlake, Tanya and Casey Gustafson and Ryan and Heather Boers; great-grandchildren, Trinity and Ty Westlake; and brother, Ernest (Betty Rose) Bertram of Morgantown, Ind. She was predeceased by parents; and husband Cleamon in 1988.

Services at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 15, in Belvidere Funeral Home, 203 Logan Ave., with the Rev. Allan R. Buss Sr., pastor of Immanuel Lutheran Church officiating. Interment in Belvidere Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, July 14, at the funeral home.
