Longview Daily News, Monday, Aug 21 1972:
Robert Frederick Adamek, 61, Rt. 1, Box 32, Amboy, died Aug. 19 at home. He was born Oct. 13, 1910.

He lived in Longview while working for Long-Bell Lumber Co. for 35 years, then moved to Amboy where he lived 12 years, working for International Paper Co. He was a member of IWA Local 317, was a 1921 graduated of R. A. Long High School, and one of the first paper boys for the Daily News.

Surviving are his widow, Eva, of Amboy; a son, Robert C. of Yacolt; a daughter, Mrs. Nola Whitehead of Vancouver; and a grandchild, Meridith.

Services will at an 12 pm Wednesday in Steele Chapel with Dr. Donald Irwin officiating. Interment will be in Longview Memorial Park.
