He was born August 31, 1950 in Hardy County, and was the son of the late Price C. and Roxie Gay Foltz Strawderman.
He worked at Rockingham Poultry, and was a member of the Cove Mennonite Church.
Surviving are a spouse; Dorothy Andes of Mathias, a daughter; Sarah Showman of Mathias, a son; Jeffrey Strawderman of Mathias, step children; Sheena Andes and Maria Smith-Sierra both of Mathias, six brothers; Connalee Strawderman of Mathias, Rodrick Strawderman of Wardensville, Stanley Foltz of Mathias, Carl Foltz of Brandywine, Luther Foltz of Harrisonburg, Paul Foltz of Timberville, three sisters; Ellen Shoemaker and Dorothy Painter both of Broadway, and Estella Presgraves of Amissville, VA, six grandchildren, three step grandchildren.
Dr. Delmar Shoemaker and Rev. Jonathan Hedrick will conduct a funeral service Monday at 2:00 P.M. at the Mathias Brethren Church. Burial will be at the Ayers Family Cemetery in Mathias, WV.
The family will receive friends Sunday from 5-7 P.M. at the Grandle Funeral Home in Broadway.
The family requests memorial contributions be made to the funeral home to help with funeral expenses.
