Sister M.Edwardine, 74, of Holy Family Convent, Manitowoc, died Friday morning at Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be at 8 a.m. Saturday at Holy Family Convent Chapel. The Rev. Ferdinand Dupont, O.Praem., will officiate and burial will be in
the convent cemetery.
Sister M. Edwardine, nee Clara Agatha Harris, was born July 19, 1896, at Mineral Point, Wis., daughter of the late George and Elizabeth Zirfas Harris. She entered the convent in March of 1916 and professed her vows
July 3, 1918. She received her bachelor of arts degree from Yipsilanti Michigan Teachers College. She taught school in several cities in Wisconsin including Manitowoc, Kaukauna, Antigo, and Oshkosh. She also taught in Nebraska, Michigan, Illinois, Ohio and Arizona.
Survivors include two brothers, Herman C. Harris, of Omaha, Neb., and Robert Harris, of Sioux Falls, S.D., two sister, Miss Margaret Harris, of Washington, D.C., and Mrs. Howard Crooks, of Long Beach, Calif.
Friends may call at the convent after 5 o'clock this Friday afternoon.
Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, is in charge of funeral arrangements.
