First wife of William Vinzant (1800-1878). She married William in March 17, 1820 in Highland County, Ohio. In March 1832, they sold their land in Highland County, Ohio. William was given a land grant in 1833 in Hendricks County, Indiana. William and Louisa's children included: Hugh, Lydia, Margaret, James, Elizabeth, Hannah and Anna Vinzant.

* I have received some information that states, "It is believed that Louisa may have been a Cherokee and her Native American name may have been Mary Raven Whitehorse." However, there is other information that states that it was Willaim Vinzant, her husband, who had Native American blood. Most recently I was given more information from Findagrave member, Vernon, #47248868, that would seem to point to the fact that Louisa was not of Native American heritage.
