A longtime resident of Erwinville, she was born in St. Landry Parish and died at 9:19 p.m. Monday, Nov. 29, 2010, at Charlynn Rehab and Nursing Center in Winnsboro. She was 82 and a homemaker. Visiting at Wilbert Funeral Home in Port Allen on Wednesday, Dec. 1, from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. for the family with public visiting from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Visiting continues Thursday, Dec. 2, from 9 a.m. until religious services at 11 a.m., conducted by Bishop Virgil Harris and the Rev. Curtis Harris. Interment in Erwinville Baptist Church Cemetery, Erwinville. She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Emic "Mic" J. Richard Sr., of Port Allen; two daughters and sons-in-law, Sadie Courville and Jerome "Tip" Lobdell, and Pretha Gail Lee and Chad, Winnsboro; a son, Emic "Rick" J. Richard Jr., Gonzales; two sisters, Gerry Mouton Walley and Faye Mouton Wood; a brother, Billy Jules Mouton; 18 grandchildren, Amber Courville, Sharie Richard, Jerome "Dave" Courville Jr. and wife Becky, Melissa Johnson and husband Seth, Brooke, Bryce, Victoria, Mendy, Mary, William, Coliesa and husband Clyde, Hannah, Sadie Gail, Lisa Jennifer McMurray, CJ Lee, Erika Lee and Kaydelynn Lee; and eight great-grandchildren, Brittany Courville, Blair Shelton, Bliss Shelton, Noah Johnson, Bryson Courville, Beaux Courville, Emma Claire Courville and Charley Renee Courville. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jules and Lillie Menard Mouton; and sister, Roberta Mouton Atkinson. She was a member of Ladies Auxillary at UPC.
