She was the daughter of Daniel and Sarah (Pedley)MacFarlane, her mother dying two years ago. She is survived by her father, a brother, George, and two half-sisters Jennie (Mrs. Orville) Sands and Myrtle ( Mrs. Ralph) Lambert. She was preceeded in death by an infant sister Maggie, a half-brother Charles D. and a half-sister Sarah E. MacFarlane.
An excert from her obituary -
"As a simple news item that would be complete.
But to a professing christian people and admirers of noble qualities it is only the text.
(Unreadable)..... That, with her home devotion and feeble body, restricted what we call social standing or worldly popularity. but she has a taste and talent for music which she developed to the fruit of her strength and opportunity, and used it for the encouragement and enjoyment of others and the glory of the God she served, and when too feeble to use that talent longer, she scattered her happy smile and cheer by calls on the old and sick.
She never forgot her duty to father and brother. Hence she was loved by all. Bad roads and rain did not prevent a large concourse from turning out to say good bye to a noble life."
