Loran E. Ramsey, 57, Uniontown farmer-stockman, died last night at 9:45 p.m. at Mercy Hospital, where he was taken Wednesday morning following a heart attack at his farm home west of Uniontown. He was a life time resident of Bourbon County.

Mr. Ramsey, son of Austin [sic] and Emma Schubert Ramsey, was born December 29, 1900, at Uniontown. He was married to Eva I. Wilson, Oct. 5, 1924, at Iola.

Surviving, besides the wife of the home, are the following children: Mrs. Kaley (Julia) Blythe and Ed L. Ramsey, Uniontown, and Mrs. Joe (Edna) Miller, Sun Valley, Calif., and a daughter Nancy, of the home.

Also surviving are the following brothers and sisters: Mrs. Wayne (Opal) Abbott, Klamath Falls, Ore.; Mrs. Fred (Bertha) Pryor, Tulsa; Mrs. Ray (Helen) George, Medford, Ore.; and Herman Ramsey, Uniontown, Kansas. There are eight grandchildren, one brother, Rollie Ramsey is deceased.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon at 2 p.m. at the Uniontown Baptist Church with the Rev. .Robert Linder, pastor, officiating.

Burial will be in Uniontown Cemetery. The body is at Earl's Memorial Home, where it will remain until the hour of the service.

NOTE: The Fort Scott Tribune incorrectly states Loran's father as Austin when in fact, it was Perry Simon Ramsey.
